Custom Metal Parts Manufacturer in Malaysia

Weng Din Engineering is a custom metal parts manufacturer in Malaysia producing CNC-machined components, large machine parts, shafts, rollers, fabricated assemblies and repair parts according to customer drawings and project requirements.

Established in 1994, our machining scope includes CNC milling, CNC turning, large gantry CNC machining, CNC boring, wire cut EDM, welding and fabrication, supported by facilities for both smaller precision components and substantial industrial workpieces.

From one-off replacement components and specialised machinery parts to prototypes and repeat production requirements, each enquiry begins with a review of the actual drawing, material, dimensions, tolerances, quantity and manufacturing processes required. This helps us select a practical machining route before quotation and production.

Custom Metal Parts Made to Your Drawing and Specifications

Custom metal parts should be manufactured around the requirements of the component rather than a standard catalogue specification. We review customer drawings and project information to determine the suitable machining, turning, boring, wire-cutting, welding or fabrication processes for the part.

For an efficient technical review, provide as much of the following information as possible:

  • 2D or 3D technical drawing
  • Required material and material grade
  • Overall component dimensions
  • Order or prototype quantity
  • Critical dimensions and tolerances
  • Surface or finishing requirements
  • Secondary machining or fabrication requirements
  • Required delivery date or production schedule

Where an existing component is being replaced or repaired, a sample or reference part may also help communicate the functional requirement. Final manufacturability should still be assessed against the confirmed drawing, dimensions, material and required performance.

CNC Machining Capabilities for Custom Industrial Components

Our custom metal parts manufacturing capabilities combine several machining and metalworking processes within one engineering operation. The appropriate process is selected according to the component geometry, dimensions, material, tolerance requirements and production quantity.

Capability Typical Component Requirements Related Service
CNC Milling Profiles, pockets, slots, holes, machined faces and detailed component features. CNC Milling
CNC Turning Shafts, rollers, pins, sleeves, bushings and other rotational components. CNC Turning
Large Gantry CNC Machining Large plates, frames, machine components and oversized industrial workpieces requiring substantial machining travel. Large Gantry CNC Machining
CNC Boring Large or heavy components requiring accurately positioned bored features and multi-face machining access. CNC Boring Machine
Wire Cut EDM Intricate profiles, narrow features and electrically conductive materials requiring non-contact cutting. Wire Cut EDM
Welding & Fabrication Machinery parts, frames, supports, platforms, fabricated sections, modifications and repair requirements. Welding and Fabrication

Selected Machine Capacity Examples

Our machine facilities currently list 40 machines across CNC and manual machining, wire cut EDM, welding and supporting engineering processes.

  • HARTFORD PRO-4210 CNC milling: 4,050 Γ— 2,100 Γ— 1,070 mm X/Y/Z travel.
  • VICTOR TAICHUNG VTURN-45 and KINWA CL-320BX2000 CNC lathes: listed swing Γ— length capacity of 625 Γ— 2,100 mm.
  • FANUC HB-110-20T CNC boring machine: 2,000 Γ— 1,500 Γ— 1,400 Γ— 550 mm X/Y/Z/W travel.
  • Two STEP 4050 multi-cutting EDM machines are listed for wire-cut requirements.

Published machine travel or swing dimensions should not be treated as an automatic maximum component size. Actual suitability depends on the complete part geometry, orientation, workholding, material, weight, tolerances and machining access required.

From Small Precision Parts to Large Machine Components

We support components ranging from smaller precision-engineered parts to large industrial workpieces. This flexibility is useful for manufacturers, machinery builders and engineering teams that need different component sizes or manufacturing processes under one machining partner.

Typical component categories within our machining and project scope include precision parts, industrial rollers, shafts, sleeves, machinery components, large machined workpieces, welded components and repair items. Each part is reviewed individually before production because size alone does not determine the correct manufacturing method.

For oversized components, we recommend submitting the complete drawing rather than only the overall length and width. Feature location, machining depth, workholding positions and access to each surface can affect which machine and setup are practical.

Materials and Part Types We Can Review

Material suitability should be assessed together with the component drawing and manufacturing process. Include the exact material specification or grade in your enquiry so our team can review machining feasibility, required process and production approach against the actual part.

Material information for quotation: Specify the required material and grade rather than using a general description such as β€œmetal”. For wire cut EDM requirements, the workpiece material must be electrically conductive.

Precision Parts & Components

Custom machined items with profiles, holes, slots, machined faces or other drawing-defined features.

Shafts & Rollers

Rotational components requiring turning of diameters, shoulders, journals, grooves or related cylindrical features.

Large Machine Parts

Substantial industrial workpieces requiring large-part milling, turning, boring or a combination of machining processes.

Sleeves, Pins & Bushings

Round components suited to turning and related machining based on the required diameters and detailed geometry.

Fabricated Components

Frames, supports, platforms, machinery parts and other fabricated items produced to approved drawings and specifications.

Repair & Replacement Parts

Existing industrial components requiring repair, modification or replacement based on the project requirement.

From Drawing Review to Finished Metal Parts

A reliable custom metal parts quotation starts with a technical review. We evaluate the component requirements before confirming the manufacturing scope, price and production schedule.

1

Send Your Requirements

Submit the drawing, material, quantity, tolerances, surface requirements and required delivery schedule.

2

Manufacturing Review

We assess the part geometry and determine whether milling, turning, boring, wire cut EDM, welding, fabrication or combined processes are appropriate.

3

Technical Clarification

Important drawing details, tolerances, material information or manufacturability considerations are clarified where required.

4

Quotation

Pricing and lead time are prepared according to the confirmed material, dimensions, machining complexity, setups, quantity and required processes.

5

Manufacturing

Once the scope is agreed, production proceeds according to the reviewed drawing and confirmed project requirements.

Clear drawings reduce assumptions during quotation and manufacturing. Mark critical tolerances clearly and identify any inspection, documentation, finishing, packaging or delivery requirements that must form part of the quotation.
